HdK Officially Certified as a B Corp™

Posted on

We’re bursting with excitement to announce that HdK is now a certified B Corporation™! It recognises our commitment to using business as a force for good, something that’s been at the core of our values since day one.

What’s the B Corp Buzz About?

B Corps™ are a special kind of breed. They’re businesses that are held to the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility, transparency, and accountability. It’s not just about saying you care, it’s about proving it through rigorous assessments and ongoing commitments.

For HdK, this certification isn’t just a badge of honor, it’s a validation of our long-standing practices. Did you know we’ve been using hosting powered by 100% renewable energy for the past ten years? That’s a decade of dedication to minimising our environmental footprint.

A Journey, Not a Destination

Becoming a B Corp™ wasn’t a solo act. It took a dedicated team effort from every corner of HdK. From our developers crafting sustainable code to our project managers guiding our clients to make their sites more accessible, everyone played a crucial role. While achieving B Corp™ certification is a huge milestone, it’s just the beginning of our journey. This designation allows us to set even more ambitious goals, pushing the boundaries of what it means to be a responsible and ethical business.

We’re excited to explore new ways to give back to our communities, minimise our environmental impact, and champion positive change within the digital world.

Stay tuned for more updates on our B Corp™ journey. We’re eager to share our progress and inspire others to join the movement.

Certified B Corporation is a trademark licensed by B Lab, a private non-profit organisation, to companies like ours that have successfully completed the B Impact Assessment (“BIA”) and therefore meet the requirements set by B Lab for social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. It is specified that B Lab is not a conformity assessment body as defined by Regulation (EU) No 765/2008, nor is it a national, European, or international standardisation body as per Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012. The criteria of the BIA are distinct and independent from the harmonised standards resulting from ISO norms or other standardisation bodies, and they are not ratified by national or European public institutions.
