AMA 2025: What we’re looking forward to

Posted on

Each year, HdK attends the Arts Marketing Association Conference. It’s a brilliant opportunity to connect with marketing peers from across the sector, bringing together professionals from all over the UK.

This year, the conference is taking place in the beautiful city of Edinburgh – a location steeped in arts, culture and heritage. After all, it’s home to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival: the world’s greatest platform for creative freedom.

In the lead-up to the conference, we’ve been thinking about what we’re most excited to see and do while we’re there. And wow, there’s a lot to look forward to!

Hearing from the speakers
There are so many interesting talks this year, but we’re particularly looking forward to hearing from Amber Kirby, Marketing Director at Channel 4. Her experience working not only at Channel 4, but also with major brands like Boots, Virgin and Eurostar is sure to offer some valuable insights.

Other talks we’re looking forward to include ‘Creative Campaigns, Brilliant Basics and Happy Resilient Team’, with V&A Dundee, along with one of the Thursday keynotes: ‘Amplifying Impact’ and why advocating for our work in the sector is so important, with Clore Leadership, Catherine Holden Consulting, and the Arts Marketing Association.

Thursday socials
It wouldn’t be an AMA conference without a Thursday evening social. We’ll be getting stuck in and meeting plenty of lovely new faces – and we’re looking forward to hearing what everyone else in the sector has been working on.

Exploring Edinburgh
While we’re there for the conference, we’ll definitely be taking time to explore the historic city of Edinburgh. There’s so much to see, from the castle to world-class museums and galleries. If we’re feeling adventurous, we might even take on Arthur’s Seat! And for the athletic among you, AMA is hosting a 7k running tour on Friday morning you can join.

Our talk: ‘Amplifying Audiences Through Digital Campaigns’
We’re also looking forward to delivering our talk, Amplifying Audiences Through Digital Campaigns. Zoe and Fizz will explore how digital strategy can shift the spotlight, from simply telling stories about people, to creating platforms that empower communities to speak for themselves. Catch it at 11:35 on Thursday morning. We’d love to see you there!

Visit us
If you’re heading to the conference, make sure to stop by our stand. We’ll be running a fun game where you’ll have the chance to win a Roberts radio and chat to our friendly team.

See you in Edinburgh!
