Overall our client wanted a dynamic and young site that mirrored the upbeat personality of the company. Movement was key part of the initial brief, being a dance company, Drew wanted the concept of movement to be integrated into the style and design of the website. To support this idea we developed an interactive timeline to highlight the milestones of the company, in a dynamic and interesting format. We were also able to use an array of striking images by Mark Senior, that helped translate the feeling movement on to the digital platform.
To establish the company’s new branding style, we built out a series mood boards and visual references to share with the client, aided by Drew’s personal vision.
Similarly to the website, the branding needed to be reflective of the company’s fun personality. We developed a vibrant colour palette which is fully shown on the home page, and introduced on to other pages in a more subtle manner. Each colour in the palette was named after 80’s culture references Blue Mustang, Miami, Motel Sunset and Power Suit, drawing on Drew’s references to the time period in the briefing stages of the project.
